Aries Full Moon – Fresh Beginnings
Aries Full Moon 2017
We have dreams. Visions. Fantasies about how we might change the world for the better. About who we’ll become. And then maybe at some point, they crumble before our eyes.
This crumbling need not be a bad thing though. It could be more like a graceful dissolution. If these dreams and hopes weren’t grounded in reality, this humbling is necessary. And with this, we’re gifted the opportunity to start anew and to create a new vision, one that is more aligned with the deeper aspects of who we are.
And therein lies the particular challenge with this Aries Full Moon: first realizing where we’ve overextended what we believe we should be capable of at this point in time, and then creating a new vision that is more encompassing of our deeper Self.
And this last point is the kicker: to have a vision for our lives that includes our higher Self, but not letting the mind run away with future projections and fantasies. Because the mind loves to do that. And living in what we think our goals will bring us is no more than an attempt to avoid where we’re at right now.
If we’re currently unhappy or uncomfortable with certain feelings or emotions, then one of the easiest ways to relieve it is to exist in the mind, believing that, “Oh, I’ll be happy or more fulfilled or more content once I have ______, or once I achieve _______, or once I accomplish _______.” But our deeper, transpersonal elements can only exist now, and these are the only pieces of the puzzle that can bring true and lasting contentedness. The achievements might still come, but without connection to our Essential nature, they would be rather hollow.
And so at the Aries Full Moon and during this entire Virgo lunar cycle, we have the opportunity for a little reset button in our lives. To formulate a new vision for ourselves, and perhaps one that is more felt within than logically understood.
And perhaps this vision allows for the freedom of our Higher Self to enter and gently alter our path as we go, which would of course mean not adhering to one idea or mental construct too rigidly. This would be a vision that allows room for Divine grace, ease, and lightness.
This magical allowing of Cosmic grace is perhaps what we’ve been missing all along, and all we needed to do was relax into it. Om.
