Aries New Moon – Springing Back with Venus
Aries New Moon Monday evening 3/27. With the Spring Equinox and the Sun having moved into Aries this past week, the new astrological year is upon us. While Spring and Aries represent the joyful thrust into fresh life and new developments, this lunar cycle is inextricably fused with the current Venus Retrograde period.
While a part of us may feel drawn forward into the aliveness of Spring, there is still the pull backwards for us to continue tinkering with our personal blueprint before implementing it fully. As the spring air beckons us out, the winter winds refuse to leave us from the clutches of our inward journey.
Caught between these divergent desires, it’s in our best interest to still do the inner work as it relates to Venus Retrograde. Maybe it’s a relationship that we need to let go of, however reluctantly we feel about doing so. Or perhaps we don’t need to let go of an actual relationship, but rather just shift our relationship to relationships in general. Maybe it’s an internal way of relating to ourselves that’s calling for our attention. Or maybe it’s our relationship to money or where we base our sense of security that’s calling for reorientation. Whatever it is for you, all of these things are symbolized by the planet Venus moving backwards in the sky, and working through these issues is ideally a primary focus over the coming weeks.
The Web of Life
In each of us doing our own part, our own inner work, we will undoubtedly help everyone else achieve something similar. It’s tough to see sometimes, but if we are all one consciousness and one mind (as postulated by spiritual traditions around the world and reconfirmed by Rupert Sheldrake in his work with morphic resonance) then our own internal process is as valuable to the collective as anything else that we can do. In releasing a negative pattern or finding a more positive way to work with a challenging aspect of ourselves, we also deepen that pathway for another to do the same.
And currently with so many crises facing the world, it’s of paramount importance that we’re both doing our own inner work and seeking help where/how we need it. Through this, we accomplish a great service not only to ourselves, but to everyone else as well.
Many Spring Blessings to you and a wishes of a fruitful First Lunar Cycle of the Astrological New Year.
