The Great American Eclipse – Emergence from the Depths of Being
After enough seeds have been planted, it’s time for the damn thing to grow already.
And so here we are. We’ve been in the incubator for a long time, maybe what feels like an eternity. We’ve faced many trials, tribulations, and growth experiences. And now the time is coming to finally emerge into the world renewed, refreshed, and ready to participate from the deepest part of ourselves that we have access to.
Here we have the Great American Eclipse on Monday August 21, 2017.
But like with any solar eclipse or new moon, it’s more about planting a seed than it is about an immediate profound effect. And maybe that means there’s still some deep shovel work needed at this time in order to break through the encrusted layers of our being so that the seed can enter.
This is a seed that will blossom into the flower that we’re most capable of at this point in our journeys. Maybe some beautiful flowers will emerge in a couple of weeks at the next full moon. Or maybe it will take closer to the 2.5 years or so that this solar eclipse will be reverberating for. (1 year for every minute of totality)
And so patience is of the essence here, despite how badly a part of us might want to just get on with all this emerging and blossoming talk. Remember that Mercury is still in retrograde and widely conjunct this upcoming eclipse. Given that, it behooves us to take our time, go slow, and be sure of what we’re doing.
The Sabian Symbol for this eclipse is “A mermaid emerges from the ocean waves ready for rebirth in human form.”
And I couldn’t have said it any better myself. This is where the unique, mystical, ephemeral, and exalted enters and prepares to walk with us on a daily basis. Here is a profound opportunity to make some shifts into an expression of ourselves that aligns with our deepest and most unique nature.
And so in preparation for the eclipse, our time can best be served by releasing. Releasing as many blockages, confusions, uncertainties, anxieties, and control fantasies as possible. By releasing these now, the eclipse will be able to more easefully plant these profound seeds deep within us. And from there, we can grow into a more embodied expression of our higher Self than we’d ever thought possible.
Happy Eclipse Day. Namaste.
