Sagittarius New Moon
The Sagittarius New Moon will take place on 11/29/16 at 5:18 AM MST.
This Sagittarius New Moon will very much be about integrating and deriving meaning from our emotions. Perhaps news events in the past month still have us feeling fragmented. Perhaps parts of ourselves are still left behind, as if we’re not fully here, we’re still traumatized in the face of everything that has transpired.
This New Moon will be square (in conflict with) the Nodes of the Moon. Anytime a planet squares the nodes it represents a skipped step, something that we haven’t yet gotten right, and something that until we do so, will be a hindrance to our evolutionary growth and development.
The Moon itself represents our inner emotional life. So the question then is where, collectively, have we not gotten our emotions right? Where are we still stuck in the past, wishing for it to be a different way? Where are we still fragmented? Where are we still engaging in childlike behavior, whining about the current state of affairs, hoping that someone else will come along and do something about it?
I believe these issues will largely be resolved by addressing our inner emotional needs and desires, and then moving into the present and future of society, as it is.
Perhaps we’re still feeling disillusioned (Moon square Neptune). This too only represents where we need to take the time to explore (Sagittarius) what is going on internally, and then move forward into what needs to be done, at this point in time.
Sagittarius itself is largely about deriving personal meaning. And so it becomes a good time to ask yourself, have you found meaning in all that has transpired? Have you found a way to make something of the world, as it is, and move forward, perhaps with a new vision?
Searching for meaning
Victor Frankl in Man’s Search for Meaning came to the conclusion, that if a person has a ‘why’ for their existence, that they can deal with any ‘how’.
It seems that from the previous lunar cycle in Scorpio, we’ve bit off a lot of previously subconscious and unconscious things to work on. We may feel overwhelmed in the face of it all, like we’re completely drowning and turned upside down (Neptune).
And so this Sagittarius New Moon is very much about finding a stable emotional ground, about developing your own personal ‘why’ as to why this has happened. It is about finding your own personal reason for the existence of recent events, your own personal challenge as it relates to these events and the corresponding feelings that have come up.
And in this lunar cycle, I invite us all to let go of excessive thought (as it relates to the above). I invite us all to allow that which wants to come through in order to serve our emotional integration/healing as well as our personal meaning, to do so spontaneously, effortlessly, and intuitively. I invite us all to get out of our own way and make room for the freedom necessary for that which wants to arise in order to heal our emotions.
The Call for Heroes
These are challenging times for us, and they necessitate all parts of ourselves. They necessitate us to not have parts of our selves left behind in what could’ve or should’ve been. These times necessitate us to be adults and to move forward into our culture, as it looks now, and act from there. These times necessitate us to move beyond disillusionment and escapism, and into unconditional presence and compassion. These are not easy things to ask for, and frankly to rise to this occasion would be nothing short of heroic.
And it is a time for heroes.
It is a time for the heroes of the world to stand and take ownership of their true, divinely inspired potential. And I’m confident that we will be moving in the direction, one person at a time.
