Taurus New Moon – From Stillness Emerges the New
The coming lunar cycle invites us to slow down. With the Taurus New Moon on Wednesday morning, we find the two cosmic dance partners, Sun and Moon, nestled in each others arms with no other planet around to distract them.
In this beautiful solitude and quiet embrace, maybe we can allow to emerge all that has taken place since the previous New Moon.
Venus is still in the integration phase of her retrograde cycle, and the planet of our conscious thoughts (Mercury), is still in its backwards movement. Shifts have been occurring, are still occurring.
And so now in these times, the more still and more patient we can become, all the deeper does the new enter us.
And with quiet reverence and a calm mind, “A new quality of being is revealed which renders the old patterns obsolete.”(1) And only when we allow this new quality to take root deeply, to provide the base for our future thoughts and actions, can we fully embody and enact the shifts that have taken place. Only then can we truly grow and transform on a deep, fundamental level.
The concept is simple and surely I couldn’t tell you what has shifted within you. Only your own inner exploration and quiet mind can do that.
So I’ll leave you with these words from Rainer Maria Rilke:
“For these are the moments when something new has entered us, something unknown; our feelings grow mute in shy perplexity, everything in us withdraws, a stillness comes, and the new, which no one knows, stands in the midst of it and is silent.” (2)
