Virgo New Moon – Purifying the Vision
Virgo New Moon
Something deep is wanting to come through us. Has been for a while. Every New Moon seed that has been planted since June 23 has contained inklings of our deeper Self, the individualized aspect of our consciousness that springs from the non-dual field. This communion of Uranus with the new moon will take place in every subsequent new moon through the spring of 2018. Potent times they are.
And so where are we at with this now? Have we perhaps had a glimpse of our innate offering that we can make to the world? And if so, where has this potentially become delusional? Where do we need to humble ourselves and come back to Earth? Where are we acting in an attempt to fill a void within us? And where are we maybe attempting to live someone else’s vision instead of one that is truly our own?
The Virgo New Moon is asking us to do this deeper inner reflection. For one, in order to have an aspect of our Higher Self shine through and align with our conscious persona on a day-to-day basis, we must first sufficiently humble any excessive self-inflation. If our ego is attempting to overextend itself for one reason or another, there is no space for our deeper gifts to emerge.
And so here we purify. Here we are in full awareness of our wounds that might want to hold us back. Not sweeping them under the carpet, simply acknowledging them and allowing them to be. Here, we continue to grow. And here we can find union with our deeper desires that arise from beyond the logical mind, our desires that fulfill more than just how we think we should be.
Here we can be free from this self-image we’ve created, the idealized part of ourselves that we perhaps derive much self-worth from. In other words, acting too much as the person that we want to be, not necessarily who we really are. To live in this way is fine enough and even quite normal in our culture, but all too often we become a prisoner to feeding this self-image. When though we can tear that down and stand in the discomfort that’s created, we can begin to find worth that’s independent of anything we do, worth that comes simply from who we are, our Being. In this there is immense freedom, and from this, our deeper Self can emerge.
No small task, but if you’re still reading these words, you’re ready. The road is rocky but the vistas are grand. Many blessings on the journey. May we all find our way back to a deep union within.
